On behalf of our team at The Jefferson Independent, it is my pleasure to wish everyone a happy start to the fall semester! Last spring, we made our first release of The Jefferson Independent, and it was received with great success. We continue to thank everyone who supported us in the spring semester and read our articles. This year, we will continue to build our publication with the same mission of providing an alternative source of news on UVA Grounds.
The Jefferson Independent will continue into the fall, writing stories and keeping with our mission. Last year, we released on Thomas Jefferson’s birthday, as this is an important date to the University of Virginia. We are proud of the legacy Thomas Jefferson left, and we will do our best to live up to his expectations of UVA and its student body. In line with Jefferson, our publication will not stray away from the truth and will continue to commit itself to the ideals instilled in America’s founding documents.
Thank you again to those who supported us during our release last spring. If you are a student, we would love to have you join our staff or submit a piece for The Jefferson Independent. We hope you will continue to support our team and subscribe as we work to serve our community on UVA Grounds.
Best,
Karoline
