Morgan Meyer is a 4th year student double-majoring in Global Studies: Security and Justice and Art History at UVa, and plans to work as a public defender in the future focused on combating mass incarceration. She's been passionate about political organizing since first working on a campaign in Tulsa, Oklahoma and focuses her political op-eds around incarceration and pre-trial detention, low-income experiences in the criminal system and in society at large, holding institutions and individuals accountable for corruption, including Congressional representatives and the Supreme Court, and analyzing politics from the perspective of workers/labor activism and unionization.
